Artists residency programme - 2025

In 2025 I attended this artist residency programme event for the newly formed FINE (Freelance Independents North East) collective. This organisation aims are to create and strengthen connections between art workers who are based in Aberdeen or Aberdeenshire.

During the 3 day weekend, I documented various activities/workshops and portraits of the artists using still images and video which would later be used for social media and archival purposes.

Aberdeen Surf Club

Scottish surfing events - 2024

Aberdeen Surf Club is a non profit organisation situated on Aberdeen Beach front, and provides a social space for the passionate surfing community within the North East of Scotland.

Over several months during 2023-24, I was invited to document various events such as competitions and social gatherings. Producing photographic and video works which would help to promote the club to local and internationally audiences.

Aberdeen Ceramics Studio

Creative workshops - 2024

Aberdeen Ceramics Studio is a community clay studio based within Torry Aberdeen. They provide a platform for artists interested in clay to work collaboratively with others and for developing there skills.

Matt and Aimee contacted me to document a promotional evening workshop where beginners could come along to try out the medium. The images from the event would then be used for promotional content across there social media platforms.

Speakin Weird

Spoken word event - 2023

Speakin Weird is a monthly poetry open mic event held in various venues across Aberdeen, and open to anyone who has a strong interested in the art form.

I was approached by Orla Shortall, the organiser of the event, to document a special evening which would have a strong emphasis on the issues surrounding Palestine. Orla is also an academic writer with a particularly strong interest in the place of agriculture in society today. She plans to release her new literary work based on this ‘The Milk Book’ by 2026.

Youth Arts Practitioner Awards

Artist led workshops, Creative Learning Team, Aberdeen City Council - 2022/23

In 2022- 23 I worked with the Creative Learning Team to document the YAPPA projects which would take place throughout various locations around Aberdeen.

This featured several artist led workshops, all of which where highly unique from one another, ranging from musical based to outdoor/camping related activities. Te resulting images would later be used on presentations by the team and for archival purposes.

Medieval Mayhem

Murder mystery themed event, Aberdeen Art Gallery 2022

In 2022 I worked with Aberdeen Art Gallery's Learning Team to document visitors who where dressed up in theatrical clothing for their murder mystery evening event.

For this, a photo booth was installed in the famous Cowdray hall area, and a projector screen was set up which would cycle through various different medieval back grounds people could choose from.
